Order Completed Rate on Fiverr to Have Higher Gig Rank

If you cancelled any order with or without mutual agreement it reflected as reduced Order Completed Rate. Any orders cancelled beyond 2 months are not considered to calculate this value. If you have less order completed rate, it will cause to reduce your ranking on the search results. There are many reasons to cancel the orders on fiverr. Let's check some of them one by one.
Before cancel any of the orders keep in mind that it will reduce your order completed rate.
  1. Buyer not read the gig description before placing the order. 

This is one of most common reasons to cancel an order. You can't do anything else than the cancellation. When you receive this kind of order, write politely saying that this service is not offered by you and therefore you wants to cancel the order.
  1. The buyer asks for a work that needs many hrs but purchased only one gig.

Most of this kind of orders are from the buyers who didn't contact before the order. They are they can get any service for $5 on fiverr. If you receive this kind of order, estimate the costs or charges for the order. Then write a message to the buyer stating that his request can't completed for this price and the your charge for it. Further, you can send addition to the gig with the balance amount. (Difference between paid amount and your estimation).
Most of the time this works and buyers accepted addition. If buyer doesn't agree with your price, Try to negotiate the price with the buyer.
  1. I can't meet delivery dates because of my workload.

This is not a reason to cancel a order now. Fiverr has an option to ask for an extension to the delivery date. (You can find this option in resolution center) Use this option and if the buyer agreed to extend the time you can complete the gig without any problem.
  1. I can't meet delivery dates because of personal issues. (sick, other commitment, funeral, vacation, etc)

This is a situation that you have to react fast. If not, your orders getting late which is much verse than reduced cancellation rate. Write a message to the buyer stating that your situation and ask for mutual cancellation.
  1. Buyer requesting modifications continuously.

This is a very annoying situation. Some buyers purposely request modifications without any valid reason. Doing those revisions consumes your valid time for a new order. First of all keep calm and don't get angry with the buyer. If you got angry and argue with the buyer, it will end up with cancelled order without mutual agreement or a bad review. If you have done 3 - 4 modification to the order, let him know that you can't do any more modifications free of charge (If you state number of modifications in your gig wait till that number of modifications) and your charge for one modification. Most of the time this solves the problem and you don't need cancellation anymore.
 Finally, when you are sending any cancellation request, don't state the word Refund. Because fiverr charging a service charge and cancelling a order will not refund this service charge which buyers expect with the word Refund.

How to Keep 100% Response Rate in Fiverr

Fiverr monitoring how responsible sellers regularly using some key performance indicators like 
  • Response Rate - How responsible when replying
  • Orders Completed - How responsible completing orders
  • Delivered On Time - How responsible for deliver date
I will explain how we can maintain a 100% rating for above in the next few posts.

Response Rate
This is the indicator that shows how many % of the messages you replied within 24 hrs. They are calculating your replies to the first message from your buyer. (Anyway, just replying first message from the buyer and ignore following messages is not a good habit.) Fiver automatically excludes spam messages this count. If you receive any spam message report it right away. There are some difficulties to reply each and every message within one day. Let's discuss them one by one.
  1. I'm too busy with orders. I would prefer to work on them.
You can't ignore any message you receive because you have many orders to complete. If you receive any message you have to reply it. You have two options to select if you face this kind of situation.
  • Use Quick Response Feature. You can use standard quick responses, providing by fiverr or design your own. 
  • Pause your Gig for a day or two. Use vacation mode to pause your gigs and select "I'm Overbooked" as the reason.
  1. I receive many messages which are not related to my gigs.
You receive this kind of messages because potential buyers thinking that your gigs relate to their requirement. Ignoring these messages will cause to lose your potential sale in the future. Use Quick Response Feature and add a simple message stating that you are not providing the service requested. 
  1. I'm out of my computer
Well, if you can reach your computer within one day there is no problem you can reply the messages. If not, you have two options

  • Install fiverr mobile app to your mobile phone / tablet. This allows you to get instant alerts when you receive messages and reply on the go.
  • Pause your Gig for a day or two. Use vacation mode to pause your gigs and select "I'm In a Vacation" as the reason.
Note:- Please use Vacation mode carefully. It may take a few days to back normal after a vacation mode. Anyway, it is not a disaster and I always prefer to use Vacation Mode instead of having a reduced response rate.

Fiverr Gig Packages

Gig packages are a cool feature that can used to position your services on fiverr. You can create 3 packages for a gig. These are the customization of your service and according to the customization you can decide your price. When creating packages, I’m using below process. Hope you also benefit from this.
  1. Decide the services offering under this gig.
  2. Select the services which are going to offer under Standard Package.
These are the service which you think most buyers are searching. As an example, if you are providing a logo design service, very few customers requesting for source file. Therefore, you should not provide a source file as an option of Standard Package.
  1. Decide Name, Description & Price for Standard Package.
  2. Now using Standard Package as a base, decide services offering through Basic Package and Premium Package.
  3. As a final step decides the names, descriptions and prices for those packages.

Fiverr Gig Q&A Feature

You know that there is a new feature called Q&A in fiverr. It is a cool feature that freelancers can use to influence potential buyers. I’m using fewer steps to develop Q&A for a gig. Here are my secrets about creating good Q&A for a gig
  1. Write down all questions you can remember regards the gig in a customer's point of view.
Here I don’t search message history to find out what are they, just remind and write down them. As an example for every gig below questions are common.
  • What is the price for this?
  • When I can receive this?
  • Can I have refunded if I’m not satisfied?
There may be some other questions very specific to the gig. As a example for my Excel VBA gig, many people asking “Are you giving source code of this?”.
  1. Assign them into one of two categories.
We can find there are two types of questions from this list.
  • Common questions.
  • Gig specific questions.
Assign all of questions to one of the above two categories. We can use common questions for other gigs as well.
You can keep a separate record for common questions and gig specific questions. It will make your work easier when you are going to add new gig.
  1. Select most relevant Q&A from this list.
  2. Write answers for the selected questions
  3. Add Q&A to the gig.
Add common questions and answers on top. They are the questions most potential customers ask. Providing answers for those questions allows them to scroll through all the questions and answers.
  1. Keep it simple.
Do not add many Q&A to a gig. We can’t answer all questions from potential customers using Q&A. Therefore, keep this section as much as short. I recommend to have 3 – 5 Q&A for a gig.

How to Succeed With Fiverr - Dream of Freelancers

Fiverr.com is a dream of freelancers and all of them wants to be success in there. Therefore I thought that it is helpful for you to share my secrets how am I became a successful service provider on fiverr. They may useful to you to increase your revenue. Here are my secrets showing how to succeed with fiverr.

There are many categories to market your knowledge in fiver and you can add a decent number of gigs to your profile without any problem. That doesn’t mean you have to create many gigs for your profile. Though you have many gigs you may receive few or no orders. Therefore you have to follow some basic rules before create a gig.
  1. Sell on Niche
First of all select a niche that you are good about. Then do some research on the gigs already available on the fiver related to your niche. Eventually you can find what are the categories relevant to your niche. There may many categories for this niche on fiverr. Select the most frequent two categories and list your gigs under those categories.
  1. Be Specific
Describe your service and conditions (if any) in your gig description. Don’t add many services to a single gig. As an example, assume that you are going to provide Microsoft Office related solutions (Excel/PowerPoint/Word) through fiverr. Don’t use the same gig to provide all three services. Instead add three gigs to your profile and use one for each service. If you are providing many sub services use the gig description to explain them.
  1. Build Trust
Always mention you are giving them 100% refund if they are unhappy and provide some revisions. Though you feel you may lost your revenue, that is a good method to build the trust about you. FIverr.com allowing mutual cancellation and you can use this feature to refund buyers. When it’s about revisions, you can add a condition that these are provided if they are in line with project scope.  Further you can use the new feature F&Q. You can add some questions and answers to them as a F&Q for your gig. You can use this feature to build trust about your gig on potential buyers.
  1. Be Connected
Once you have published your gigs, your gigs are visible in search results. That means you are receiving messages from customers. (Slowly at the beginning) Fiverr monitoring some KPIs of sellers to place their gigs on search results..
  1. Positive Rating – Percentage of positive ratings you receive.
  2. Response Rate – Percentage of messages, replies within 24 hrs
  3. Orders Completed – Percentage of orders completed without cancellation.
  4. Delivered On Time – Percentage of orders delivered within delivery time.
To be on top of the search results you have to maintain all of above near to 100%. If you can’t reach this try to maintain 95% at least. If you have scores below means you are out of the game.
Here are the few tips to maintain above KPIs.
  • Install fiverr.com mobile app and reply messages as soon as possible.
  • Reply each message you receive. You may receive many crazy messages and requests. Don’t ignore them, after 24 hrs it will cause to reduce your response rate. If you can’t serve them just let them you can’t help them. This will stop message sender waiting for your response and also decreasing your response rate.
  1. Be Reliable
Last two  KPIs described above are related to the reliability of your service. Maintaining the reliability make your customer happy. See my tips to maintain this reliability.
  •  Always prefer mutual cancellation. For some cases this will not work, but it is worth to try this. Note that any cancellation including mutual cancellation will reduce your order complete rate.
  • Always keep some margin for delivery time. If you can’t deliver within the agreed time, use new feature “Extend to Delivery Time”
  1. Make Customer Delight
Finally as all other customer services, you have to delight your customer to receive 5 star rating. Therefore try to achieve steps describes in 4 & 5 to delight your customer.
